If someone is telling you a story based on their own experiences it gives more meaning to the story. Not only will this person give more detail they will also be able to give the audience a better idea as to how he or she saw the situation. There are two sides to every story this is the case in any argument people see different things from different perspectives. When explorers came to America and started claiming land as their own this would have been considered bad for Native Americans but really good for explorers. There really are two sides to every story because not every body can see the same thing because of what they believe or feel for the certain subject. It can also matter who is telling the story showing how much significance the purpose of it actually is. If someone famous tells you a story you are more likely to remember that that story and take something away from it. When your younger and if you had brothers and sisters you were likely to fight and when your parents found you fighting they would likely ask what was the fight about and who did what, most of the time the two story's would never match up and the real story as to what had happened would have never been told.
